ESPN Innovation Lab

ESPN Innovation Lab opens at Walt Disney World.

It looks like this is a jock/techy's dream. Some of the graphics special effects certainly look cool. Still, this probably won't be anywhere near the top of my list of things I want to see or do when I'm there.

Roger Clemens: "I'm Going To Disney World!"

"Roger Clemens, you've just testified in front of a Congressional committee defending yourself against alleged steroids use. What are you going to do now?"

"I'm going to Disney World!"

Well OK, he didn't actually say that. But he is scheduled to appear at WDW during the ESPN Weekend that was planned way before the Mitchell Report was released and implicated him.

Clemens was scheduled to serve as a top draw at "ESPN The Weekend" before the Mitchell Report was released in December that alleged he had used steroids multiple times--and the network began running an on-air spot promoting it. But the day the report came out, ESPN pulled the humorous ad, citing Clemens' role in a controversial news story.

Let's hope he will at least appear has he promised, unlike some Superbowl quarterback that we all know of. It certainly will attract more than the usual attention to this event. How Disney will include him in all the festivities is still unclear. I don't think having him ride on a float that looks like a giant syringe would be appropriate, let's put it at that!
