Zootopic Is A "Must-See"

... at least, according to this review of the movie.

Yes, movies should be escapism, and “Zootopia” is filled with incredible computer animation, very funny jokes, and wonderful characters. But it also helps young people today to have some reality seep into the content they endlessly consume.

What’s great is that “Zootopia” isn’t scared to raise issues, even highly sensitive ones. Hopefully we all keep away from knee-jerk reactions concerning "why" a cartoon is doing this and instead absorb it and educate.

We are definitely going to see this one. It sounds like the Disney Animation division is on a roll now.

Disney Solar Farm In The Shape Of Mickey Head

Of course, why wouldn't it?

A new solar farm on Disney property has the shape of the familiar and iconic Mickey's head. Announced about a year ago, this solar farm is located near Epcot. This is another example of a giant hidden Mickey, I suppose.

Now, it would have fit in quite well if they connect this to Epcot, and turn it somehow into an attraction.

Epcot Festivals To Run Longer In 2016

Looks like both Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival and International Food and Wine Festival will run longer this year.

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will run for 62 days this year, an increase of more than a week from the 2015 edition, which was 53 days, Disney World announced Wednesday evening. The 2016 festival will begin Sept. 14 and end on Nov. 14.

The fest will be on the heels of its newly expanded sister event, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, which begins March 2 and runs for 90 days, ending May 30. Last year's Flower & Garden was 75 days.

The news report stated that with these expanded dates, Epcot will be in festival mode for more than 40% of the year.

I can only conclude from this that the festivals are attracting significantly higher attendance. Otherwise, they will have certainly cut it short. After all, even when they've had a recent increase in revenues from the US theme parks, they still laid off people that they didn't think they need as "cost-cutting" measures.

Symphony in the Stars Fireworks at DHS

The Great Movie Ride with some of the Star Wars themed fireworks above it. An all day rain left mist and clouds that made the fireworks interesting. Star Wars fans were practically fainting with the music and narration from the movies, and some fairly intense fireworks.
