Er... when I first read this, I thought kids now want to eat rats due to the popularity of Ratatouille. Luckily, that is not the case. Instead, pet store are now having a shortage of rats because kids now want them as pets.
That isn't too surprising. When 101 Dalmatians came out, there were a lot of people who suddenly want to have a dalmatian as a pet - big mistake for most since dalmatians are not the easiest pet to have especially if you live in a city. Hopefully, these rats have better luck.
