Girls Gone Wild for Disneyland's Jack Sparrow

Oy vey! This story has legs!

I mentioned a while back about the story of a Jack Sparrow character at Disneyland that got fired for a few alleged "transgression". Not sure who's right and who's wrong, and I'm not taking sides. I just thought the whole story was pretty amusing, especially the picture of Jack Sparrow and Ariel kissing backstage! :)

One would thought that the story would end there, but noooo. For some odd reason, there's another news account of the story again. This time, it seems that there's no more Jack Sparrow character being played at Disneyland, since all of the cast members who played that character are now all gone.

Earlier this year, one such faux-Sparrow discussed his audition in Los Angeles Magazine. "Disney warned us we were going to have a lot of horny women coming on to us," said the anonymous actor. This gives a whole new meaning to "All hands on deck."

Now, because of the Jack Sparrow's supposed power over women, all of the actors playing the character have been fired.

Suzy Brown, a rep for Disneyland, tells momlogic that story is "absolutely untrue." "They were not fired," insists Brown, explaining Disneyland's choice to give pirates their pink slips with a storybook twist. "Jack Sparrow recently set sail for other high-seas adventures."

Whatever. It still means that no like Jack Sparrow at Disneyland. Can someone who goes there verify this? I'll see if there's still one at WDW - last time I checked last Sept., there was still a live Jack Sparrow there.

Zz.
