Developed by Disney Theatrical Productions from Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s popular children’s novel of 2004, “Peter and the Starcatcher” had a critically acclaimed run at New York Theater Workshop last spring, starring Christian Borle (“Legally Blonde”) as the pirate Black Stache (who will go on to become Captain Hook) and Adam Chanler-Berat (now starring in the Off Broadway revival of “Rent”) as Peter.There seems to be a coincidence on prequels. Besides this, there's a movie being made by Disney which will be the prequel to the Wizard of Oz "The Great Powerful". And of course, there is the Pixar's production of the prequel to Monsters Inc. "Monsters University".
