After months of expectations, thrillers, and the couple of weeks of glowing review after the world premier at Cannes, "Up" finally opens in the US today! There is an extremely high expectation of a significant box-office success here after all the promotions and wave reviews. The prediction so far is a box office take of $60 million for the opening weekend. This is amid all the competition from existing blockbuster movies. So I'm not sure how realistic such an expectation is, but we shall see.
