Disney Accused by Catholic Cleric of Corrupting Children's Minds

Corrupting, he says!

Christopher Jamison, the Abbot of Worth in West Sussex, has accused the corporation of "exploiting spirituality" to sell its products and of turning Disneyland into a modern day pilgrimage site.

He argues that it pretends to provide stories with a moral message, but has actually helped to create a more materialistic culture.

Oh brother!

When someone makes silly statement like this, the physicist in me always wants to ask a direct question: Can you please point to me valid evidence to back up your claim and to show that you simply just didn't make this up? In other words, show that there are children who were influenced by Disney, and ONLY by Disney, despite different backgrounds and conditions, and were "corrupted" by it.

I can easily argue that the things he believe in are more corrupting than Disney, but I won't.

Zz.
