Spain To Be Added To "World Showcase"?

The juiciest gossip of the day so far is the unconfirmed rumor that Spain will be added to the World Showcase at Epcot.

Epcot’s World Showcase has been considering adding a 12th country to the park, with Spain being the likely choice, according to one Walt Disney World insider. There is significant space between the France and Morocco pavilions — enough to accommodate an additional pavilion, said the source. Spain was actually under consideration by Epcot when it was first developed, but like the proposed pavilions for Australia, Russia, Venezuela, Israel and the United Arab Emirates, it never got off the drawing board.

This is almost as juicy as the rumor that a new Monsters Inc roller coaster will be added to Disney's Hollywood Studios. I'm guessing that this will be added to Pixar Land near Toy Story Mania.

I'm a bit disappointed with Spain being selected, if this ends up to be true. There's already an overwhelming representation of European nations at World Showcase. I was hoping for something more uncommon and "exotic".

Zz.
