... at least, not anytime soon. Rumors have been going around about a possible name change for the Disney-MGM Studios theme park, especially after the naming agreement with MGM expired. I first heard about them calling it The Walt Disney Studios - I even have a mug that actually says that from a couple of years ago, bought somewhere at Disney-MGM Studios theme park (but then again, this could simply be a reference to THE Walt Disney Studios in California). Then, with the acquisition of Pixar and the adding of new Monster's Inc attraction at that theme park, many were speculating that it might be renamed Disney-Pixar Studios. (isn't speculating fun?)
It seems that the official word for now is that there is no plan to change the name of this theme park. This is good, because I have automatically refer to this theme park as "MGM". :)
