Disney Is Raising WDW Ticket Prices

Oh no. Not again!

This is beginning to be almost a yearly "event" for Disney. We are reading news reports that Disney is planning to raise ticket prices to WDW.

Disney officials announced a plan to raise the price of a one-day, one-park adult ticket to $82.

It's the first time any of Orlando's theme parks have charged more than $80 for a base ticket.

Disney will also increase prices for multi-day ticket packages and annual passes.

As my partner just said, maybe with the extra money, they'll finally be able to fix the Yeti! {For your information, the Yeti in Expedition Everest hasn't been moving during our ride on our last THREE visits to WDW, which spanned almost a whole year.}

We are planning on cutting back a bit our trip out there, so we will have to seriously consider if having an annual pass will be worth while, even with the renewal and DVC discounts.

Zz.

A lot of people seem angry about the Disney ticket price increase. However, our family has a different opinion. First and foremost, I would like to say that our family lives on a very modest income. Therefore, tickets are not inexpensive to us. We consider our passes a major investment. But we do consider them to be just that - an investment. We don't eat out a lot or go to see a lot of movies. We go to Disney. Disney offers entertainemnt at a level that far surpasses that of any of its competitors. Where else can you see Broadway quality shows, experience the cultures of other countries, get swept away in childhood fantasies, and expeerience attractions with Disney level themes? And let's face it, no one themes like Disney. We feel tha we get more than our money's worth at WDW!
