Organizer Nixes Initiative Against Disney

The group trying to get enough signatures for a ballot to get citizen's approval of any development on Disney's property is dropping its effort.

Diane Singer, chair of the Committee to Defend and Protect Anaheim, pulled papers in November to start the process for a ballot measure, which would have given voters say over a Disney venue on the company's 52.9-acre property.

But she now says the group lacks the money and expected backing from developer SunCal and others to gather signatures.

All I can say is, another one bites the dust.

Zz.
