Boycott of Disney?

I'm sure the Walt Disney Company annoys many individual and organization enough to cause some form of a boycott at any given time. Several years ago, the Southern Baptist were boycotting Disney because it continues to allow the Gay Days event (which is a private event that isn't even organized by Disney). They have since dropped the boycott when they noticed that it hasn't cause any impact whatsoever.

Well, I came across this news release that some rabid anti-Planned Parenthood organization has the Disney company on "continuing" boycott, along with a slew of others. I find it amusing that they take credit for being able to cause "153 corporations" to drop support for Planned Parenthood due to their boycott, yet they somehow failed to note that this so-called boycott hasn't made a dent in the others. Let's look at the evidence with the Walt Disney Company, for example. Not only has it not "suffered" during the past few years, but in fact, it seems to be doing rather well. Theme parks are breaking attendance records. Profits are soaring. Disney Channel is raking in the audience. Movie division went from losing money to making money hand over fist. Stock prices soared.

I hate to burst your bubble, but your boycott is not working! In fact, I may patronize some of these businesses JUST because they are on your list.

Zz.
