I mentioned earlier about the mailings we got regarding the DVC center that is opening in the Woodfield Mall outside of Chicago. There's more mailing on this center called the Disney's Doorway to Dreams.
As mentioned before, the DVC member special preview will be on Aug. 1-3, with the official grand opening to the public on Aug. 4. However, reservations are required for DVC members to attend the preview. So we have to call them and make an appointment. They will, of course, be presenting us with offers to add to our existing DVC points, which isn't something we haven't considered. So who knows, if it is attractive enough, we might add more points to our 230 yearly points - the ones for the Animal Kingdom villas are VERY tempting. But anyway, what is a bit of a bother is that the time period for the preview are only between 9 AM and 5:30 PM, during WORK hours! Oy vey!
So now we are trying to see if we can take an afternoon off on one of those days. I'm hoping they'll have lots of trinkets to give away as well. And for the opening on the 4th, "Mickey and Friends" will be at the Mall based on the mailing. I'm still debating if I want to wear my Mickey ears hat to the event.
