Now, visitors can take the train from places such as Santa Barbara, Los Angeles or San Diego, then zip over to the theme parks or hotels and back on a $3-a-day shuttle or trolley. The shuttle ride takes 15-25 minutes.
I think Disney and Anaheim should seriously consider having a rail service either from the train station, or directly starting from LA. This would tackle two major issues:
(i) provides an even easier access to Disneyland
(ii) renders the issue of people having to live very far away to work at Disneyland moot for many, since now one has an easy access to go to work at Disneyland.
Of course, plans like this have been floating around for decades. I don't think anyone is going to be pouring that kind of money for such a project anytime soon.
Zz.
